Description
Said to have been created by Jennings Cox, an engineer with the Spanish-American Iron Company, near the town of Daiquiri in Cuba. The drink of choice of many historic characters including Hemmingway and JFK, it achieved its iconic status in the prohibition years when Americans visited Cuba on holiday.
