Okras and Tomatoes

Ingredients

   
okra (equal quantities of young sliced okras and skinned tomatoes)
1  
onion (finely minced)
   
salt and pepper
   
butter

Instructions

How to make Okras and Tomatoes?

1. Put okras and tomatoes together in a pan, without water, adding a lump of butter, a finely minced onion, some salt and pepper.
2. Stew over a slow fire for 1 hour. (The addition of a little water is optional.)
3. Can be served in side dishes, but is delicious thrown over a mound of fluffy, buttered rice.
