How to Make Pork Chops with Applesauce?

Fry pork chops lightly on both sides. Remove from pan. Add butter to fat left in pan. Fry onion in fat and drain. Mix onion with apples, sugar, ginger and breadcrumbs. Add seasoning to taste, and add 3 tablespoons water. Spread at bottom of buttered casserole dish. Arrange pork chops on top. Cook covered at 350° or Mark 4 for 1 hour. Remove lid for last 10 minutes to allow chops to brown.

4 thick pork chops
1 tbsp. butter
1 chopped onion
2 medium apples, chopped
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. powdered ginger
6 ozs. soft breadcrumbs
