Groundnut Candy is simple recipe made from roasted groundnuts, sugar, lemon juice and water. This is eaten is countries like Sierra Leone, west Africa. Enjoy.


2 pounds
roasted groundnuts
1 pound
3⁄4 pints
2 teaspoons
lemon juice


How to make Groundnut Candy?

1. Melt the sugar in the water and boil until brown.
2. Add the lemon juice; and then the roasted groundnuts. Mix well.
3. Turn mixture on to a grease board; roll out, and cut into even pieces, dripping your hands in cold water.
4. Serve or store in airtight tins.
