To inspire a nation and the world, the capital London gets its first ever Jollof rice competition and the 3rd annual Best Caribbean Rum Cake Competition. The baking competition was initially established to spread awareness of the Caribbean rum cake baking tradition to a new generation of Londoners.

This September sees the not-for-profit supermarket project on the road again in south London to recruit more new members.

The Afrikan Food Hall will be holding an open membership day in Brixton where people can sign up to the new African and Caribbean fresh food store where they will save up to 30 per cent on their shopping when the store opens. Come to our free open membership day for the Afrikan food hall on Sat September 26 Brixton Library in London. Events start at 2 pm ends 7 pm.
